Philile Sekgothe
Mindfulness Teacher
About
I am a writer, published poet and care worker, whose work is guided by a deep belief in art as the central pathway home— to the self, to spirit, and to one another. As a qualified mindfulness practitioner, I facilitate workshops and compose meditative sound journeys centred around breath-work, presence and embodied awareness. My work inhabits the sacred intersections of creativity, spirituality and care. Through poetry, sound and mindfulness, I explore the quiet landscapes of selfhood, wild-womanhood and Godhood, inviting open hearts into the territory of intuitive truths that emerge as a result of remembering our innermost selves. I am based primarily in Johannesburg, South Africa. My artistic practice unfolds across page, stage, and soundscape. My poetic offerings move fluidly between published text, spoken word, sound and performance art, creating immersive experiences that honour both individual and collective healing.
