Robyn Wolff
Counsellor
About
**About Me** I'm Robyn Wolff, a Registered Counsellor with more than two decades of experience supporting people through trauma, grief, anxiety, loss, major life transitions and periods when life simply feels overwhelming. My approach is deeply human, compassionate and practical. I believe that people are more than what has happened to them, and that counselling should not only help us understand our pain, but ultimately help us reclaim our lives. My background includes many years of counselling young adults in university wellness settings, as well as private practice, trauma and crisis work, rehabilitation and corporate wellbeing. I have extensive training in psychology, trauma, mindfulness and nervous-system regulation, including postgraduate mindfulness training through Stellenbosch University's Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. I am also a trained yoga teacher and bring an understanding of the relationship between mind, body and nervous system into my work where appropriate. I am the creator of Traumsformed, a trauma-informed therapeutic platform developed to help people understand where they are in the healing process and access practical support for regulation, stabilisation and integration. I am also the published author of *Your One Wild and Precious Life – An Elder's Wisdom*. Above all, I offer a space where you can speak honestly and be met without judgement. I don't believe therapy should keep you endlessly analysing what is wrong with you. My aim is to help you understand what happened, recognise the ways you adapted to survive it, develop the resources you need now, and gradually move towards a life that is no longer organised around the wound. **Integration Support** As part of my trauma-informed practice, I offer integration support for people who have been through profound, challenging or emotionally significant experiences, such as intense retreats, spiritual or transformative experiences, or moments that have shifted how they see themselves and the world. Experiences like these can bring powerful emotions, memories, insights and questions to the surface. Many people receive little support afterwards, and making sense of what emerged can be an important part of moving forward. Drawing on my background in trauma, mindfulness and psychological wellbeing, I help clients reflect on their experiences, explore their meaning, and integrate what feels useful into everyday life. The emphasis is on compassionate, ethical and grounded support, with your wellbeing and safety at the centre.
